{What to expect}

A session with Blush Creative will be a fun experience for everyone! I will spend some time talking or corresponding with you before your session - to get an idea of what you like, and your personality so that I can capture that in your photos. And be sure to let me know which session or photo you saw that made you contact me!

For On-Location sessions, let me know if you have a favorite spot or style of location - and I'm positive we can find the perfect location! There are countless possibilities, and if that seems daunting, let me pick the location for you! I've got lots of favorites!

Frequently Asked Questions:

{what should i wear?} 

First ask yourself what you want to DO with your photos. If you're looking to decorate a specific room in your home with a large Canvas - dress to match that room! If you want a coffee table album of the entire session, then we can discuss corresponding outfits. Whatever you decide, make sure you can admire it for years to come, and it fits your personality!
I also like to tell my clients to "be yourself!" meaning wear your hair styled and makeup done as you usually would for a special event or date night. (If you don't usually style your hair or wear makeup, go for a natural look but definitely do something with it.) No need to do your makeup extra thick for photos - Just wear a Primer and we're good to go! (A good Primer will create a soft focus, minimizing any blemishes on camera. I recommend Arbonne, Mary Kay, Younique, or Loreal Photo Ready. and Urban Decay's makeup setting spray is my fave!)

Feel free to ask my opinion on any outfit ideas or color schemes you come up with, and we'll definitely talk about this in preparation for your session! If you'd like a custom idea board just for you, just ask! I love creating idea boards for clients to help prepare them for their session!
With Engagement sessions, I have a special magazine that I'll send you with tons of tips and ideas to help you plan and coordinate your outfits! 

{Should we bring anything?}

For maternity and engagement sessions - no props are necessary. In the past, I've made banners with baby's name or a wedding date, or "Save the Date". So let me know if you're interested in having a custom banner made for your session! If there's anything that has special meaning to you, or a blanket you'd like to sit on or wrap around you - bring it! Other than that, I tend to focus more on emotions and personal connections rather than styled props. If you have an idea, let's talk about it! I'm definitely not opposed to a styled shoot or specific ideas you would like to try!
For Newborn sessions - I will send you a PDF within a few days of your scheduled newborn session with more information and what to bring, and how to prepare!

{so the session is over, what now?}

I try to post a few teaser images on Instagram and/or FaceBook within a few days of your session, so be sure to +FOLLOW me on Instagram @blushcreativetn "Like" my page to see when I do! 
I want you to have the greatest "wow" when you see your finished photos, and create the best possible experience all around. So give me about 2 weeks (depending on workload, and season) to get your finished photos to you. After the images are completed, for Engagements, Maternity, and Newborn sessions - I'll blog about your session! I'll share the post on FaceBook for you to come comment on the blog post, and share with your friends and family. Since my area of specialty is Weddings and Newborns, and I do a limited number of family sessions throughout the year, I will put a few favorites from those sessions on FaceBook instead of the blog. 

{can you edit blemishes and do any retouching?}

Absolutely! (If needed!) Every photo you receive is a direct reflection on Blush Creative Photography, so each image will be professionally retouched and enhanced in the best way possible. {Along those lines, If you wish a specific style or type of setting in your photos, this must be discussed before the session – as camera settings, location, lighting, time of day, etc. will contribute to your desired finished product.} I will edit any blemishes, blur backgrounds, remove distracting elements from the photos, etc. I do not airbrush skin, or change the image in any way that would be untrue to who you are. I try to catch tiny details such as keys in pockets, hair out of place, lint on clothing, and so on - but I occasionally miss a detail that could distract or annoy you, so I edit those things out in post-processing. I take every image and edit as though it's going to be enlarged and seen daily, so anything that stands out will be fixed if needed! 

{cancellation & rescheduling policy}

A signed contract and retainer/deposit are required to reserve the time and date agreed upon, and ensures that Photographer will make no other reservations for that time. For this reason, deposit is non-refundable, even if date is changed or canceled for any reason. The deposit will be applied to any future service, scheduled no more than 30 days of original session date. Due to workload and scheduling, Photographer will propose several possible alternative session dates. If a suitable rescheduling cannot be reached, at the Photographer’s discretion the session can be scheduled further than 30 days from original session date. Only 2 reschedules by Client are permitted before Client is at risk of losing Retainer for noncompliance and will require a $100 session retainer/deposit to book again. There will be a $45 fee for any reschedules within 48 hours of your session, which can be added to your remaining session balance. With on-location sessions, sometimes weather dictates - So my rescheduling policies do not apply to rescheduling last minute due to weather conditions. If Photographer becomes injured or too ill to fulfill the original session date within the 48 hour window - a $45 print credit will be given to the Client for use in prints/albums/wall art/gifts to be used after session images are completed. No refunds are given for paid retainer fees in this situation, as Photographer will make every effort to reschedule the session. The retainer/deposit will be lost after three days, if the Client has not made arrangements or efforts to schedule a new session date. 

For Baby Plan or Wedding Cancellation Policy, please inquire.

Deposit/Package Retainer is required within one week to reserve your session. Once a date is confirmed and you've expressed you're ready to book, I will send you a link and password to a page here on my website. You will then be able to read over the session contract, digitally sign and add any requests or special notes to me. Then you can pay your deposit/retainer with secure payment with any major credit/debit card through PayPal. Any remaining session fee can be paid by cash or credit/debit card in person.
